This Acceptable Use Policy identifies appropriate use
of the South Plains Association of Psychologists (SPAP) web site. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. By using
SPAP services, a visitor verifies that they are of legal age and accountability and unconditionally
accept the terms of this use policy and any stated disclaimers.
SYSTEM/NETWORK OPERATIONS & SECURITY
Violation or misuse of system or network security is prohibited.
Examples of system or network security violations include, without limitation, the
following:
Unauthorized access to (or use of) data, systems or networks, including any attempt to
probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or
authentication measures without express authorization of the owner of the system or
network.
Unauthorized monitoring of data or traffic on any network or system without express
authorization of the owner of the system or network.
Interference with service to any user, host or network including, without limitation, mail
bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks.
Forging of any TCP-IP packet header or any part of the header information in an email or a
newsgroup posting.
Electronic forging of any kind.
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a one of our servers or a client of our
services.
Hosting a bulk email site on our servers and using an ISP to SPAM from in order to
reference your site by IP address or domain name.
SPAP and its hosting network will investigate incidents involving such violations and may
involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities, if a criminal violation is
suspected.
EMAIL
Our Policy prohibits the misuse of any
SPAP mailing lists.
A user shall not use another site's mail server to relay mail without the express
permission of the site owner.
Sending unsolicited mail messages, including, without limitation, commercial advertising
and informational announcements, is explicitly prohibited.
DISCLAIMERS
Privacy Disclaimer
Please understand that all information submitted on the SPAP
server shall be considered
publicly accessible. Important and private information should be protected by you.
SPAP is not liable for protection or privacy of electronic mail or other information
transferred through the SPAP services.
Linking Disclaimer
The Internet contains a wide range of information from various sources. SPAP
and its
personnel will strive to maintain the highest standards in its selection of content.
However, SPAP and/or its personnel cannot be responsible for the content validity,
timeliness of content or content interpretation by the user of any source hosted on,
linked to, or linked from, the URL of SPAP.
Miscellaneous Disclaimers
While SPAP will strive to provide the very best service possible. we cannot be responsible
for a visitor's software, hardware or connection services.
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall SPAP, its officers, agents, or any one
else involved in creating, producing or distributing SPAP

be considered liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential
damages that result from the use of or inability to use the SPAP
service; or that results
from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of files, errors, defects, delays in

of God, communication failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to the
SPAP records, programs or services.
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SPAP
and/or its personnel from any
claims resulting from the use of the service which damages the user or any other party.
The enactment of this Acceptable Use Policy and stated disclaimers shall be governed
in all respects by (and in accordance with) the laws of the United States of America and
the State of Texas.
