Members of the South Plains
Association of Psychologists shall be persons who are residents in, employed in, or students in the State
of Texas. Members are interested in the advancement of psychology as a science and as a
profession, and practice within and adhere to the Ethical Principles of Psychologists.
Employed applicants shall be engaged in work that is primarily psychological in nature.

SPAP dues year runs from January 1 through December 31.
Dues to SPAP are not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as an
ordinary and necessary business expense. A portion of dues and/or sustaining membership
contributions, however, is not deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense to
the extent that SPAP engages in lobbying. The deductible portion of dues for
2008 is 70%.
